I have a real problem believing that a bulb that far away is going to burn the eyes. I Have two Reptisun 10.0's that have been put in two tanks early this month. Both are in aluminum fixtures, one is a regular clamp lamp, the other is in a fixture that holds the bulb completely horizontal over the basking area. The bulbs are not even a foot away from the basking areas. My turtles have no problems with them that I have noticed...

I think i'll do a complete water change and see if that helps. Quinns eyes are back to normal now it was kinda weird they went from being Swollen badly then the next day it went away? Does this mean anything?

Did you happen to take the UVB light out? I know it sounds weird, how can the light THAT far away do so much damage. Then again, i too would worry about it being signs of something more serious. But if its gone now, and you just happened to take the light out - then i realy think that its the light. Just my opinion.
