I was wondering with a small case of shell rot if you are using Hibiclens and they are basking how long will it take for the shell rot to clear up and how do you know that it has cleared up??? I was just wondering because we have never had to deal with shell rot and I want to know for the future.

I haven't dealt with it either, but from what I've picked up you can use the hibiclens and dry docking and the shell rot can clear up as soon as the next shedding, I think it depends on how severe/deep the rot is as to how long recovery takes.

I was wondering if it looked any different when it started to clear up or does it just look the same until the next shedding

I think it will look the same until the turtle sheds and if it's gone deep it will take several sheds. The main thing you'll see right away is that it should stop spreading.
