General Care Discussion :: eating everything in sight

mitch has been chomping away at his turtle dock lately ... is there anything to be concerned about here? i've seen posts about this before but can't seem to find any. also, he enjoys eating his own poop frequently. i don't think there will be any more floating around the tank since i just hooked up my XP3 into 10 gallons of water .. lol. anyway, anyone else experience these weird eating problems? i'm anxious to know whether or not the ZooMed docks are harmful to the turtle.

Clip a large piece of cuttle bone to the side of the tank, just under the waterline. Also let some bite sized pieces float around in the tank. I think those turtle docks have calcium in them, thats why he may be nibbling on it....

Yes, but be sure to peal the hard backing off before you give it to him. It is a pain(I just use a sharp knife), but they can't disgust the hard backing.
