no, turtles (well, terrapins, actually) walk really FAST. tortoises are slow.

my theory on this is because they are aquatic. when swimming you're going against many pounds of water pressure (mine are currently going against more than 400lbs) which is good for building muscle structure. this helps them carry the weight on their backs much better than their tortoise cousins, which don't spend as much time in the water.

Sheba RUNS! She is definitely not a walking turtle, especially when I am holding a blueberry in front of her nose!!! That turtle can really haul.

Definitely NOT slow!!! :)

Absolutely! They are considered a treat & not something you would feed daily. The good news is that berries are lower in sugar than most other fruits so they are a healthier treat.

Hercules can fly. I used to think Napoleon was fast but Hercules can cross a room in the blink of an eye. Ironically, their last owners called Napoleon Speedy and Hercules Slowpoke. They never let them out to run around, so they didn't know how much faster Hercules could be!

Spot just zooms around. When he's out I have to watch him like a hawk every second or he'll disappear.
