ok well first off is it ok for you to feed you turtle every other day?secondly,if your turtle starts to bite everyone exept you how do you stop it?anyways thoes are my ?'s thanks 4 da help. [color=green][/color]

How old is your turtle? Under a year they should get pellets everyday, about the amount that would fill their head if it were hollow. If the turtle is over a year, the same amount of pellets every other day, and greens everyday. Turtles bite when they feel threatened. I don't know what they might be doing with the turtle when they get bitten, but if it's just holding him, try keeping the fingers away from his head. Hold him with both hands, and be sure to support his legs. If they are sticking their hands in the tank, I apologize for the bluntness, but they are asking for it. If I saw a big hand descending into my living room, I think I would bite too!

Do you have any pictures? My turtles are close to the same age as yours! They were 1 on May 1st.

I can't wait! I love seeing turtle pics, particularly those of turtles near the age of mine.

i feed mine everyday. initially i fed them every other day, and they didn't seem to have any problems. but i felt guilty so i feed them everyday.

the reason they're not biting you is because they've come to know you. i'm sure they recognise you as the one that feeds them, yes? they get skittish around everyone else because they're not as familiar. my turtles eat out of my hand now, but still get a little cautious around company. even the company that's over regularly. i've established myself as pseudo mommy, everyone else is just a visitor.
