I finally saw Hercules today, we tried forever to get a pic but didn't really get anything. But I was at least able to look closely at it, there's no way it was caused by biting on something hard, it's like a spike right at the tip of his lower jaw that fits inside his mouth when it's shut. So at least it's not an injury or anything, don't know what to make of it, but we replenished his cuttlebone in hopes that he'll wear it down some. Definitely just weird.

I don't know, maybe they're little aliens or something! I'm just afraid of it somehow getting bigger and hurting him, hopefully keeping up with the cuttlebone will help.

Here are the only two pictures we could get where you can actually see the thing. Still pretty blurry, so I don't think they'll help but I figured I'd post them anyway.

(He was really pissed off when we took these pictures, we were trying to get him to bite onto a q-tip because he wouldn't open his mouth otherwise.)

Woo - I wouldn't want him mad at me!

Really he's a cutie. The fangs just give him personality!

Hehe yeah he nearly got me a few times, he's not very aggressive but he's a biter when he gets mad!

Tonight we realized that Napoleon has developed the same thing on the bottom, so I'm guessing it must be normal for them, if not for anyone else!
