So sally and LM are pretty young maybe 3 months only. And today I saw them fanning each other's faces while facing each other. It was pretty cute. But I worry b/c they are so young is this the start of a territory issue?? Or are they just really overeager? I have no idea who is what. I didn't think either were old enough to be sexed yet. I watched them for a few minutes and it seemed really non agressive but still arn't they too young to be doing the mating dance??

They'll do it at any age, but when they're not sexually mature it's usually a territorial thing. Just watch and make sure it doesn't turn aggressive

It's exactly like that and they fan their arms at each other. Funny b/c Sally is a RES and LM is a YBS....LOL
They are both young and Sally is measuring in (just the shell) at 2 1/2 inches and LM at 1 1/2. About how long before they are big enough to sex??? If I had to guess looking at pics I'd say I named them right BUT I do realize that you can't properly sex them until they are older.
So I have to wait 2 1/2 more years for them to mate huh...LOL If they are just practicing and it's not agressive then I have 2 very eager beavers on my hand. They are NOT agressive at all towards each other even at feeding time so with hope it's just mating practice..LOL
