Hey guys, what do you think about putting a Corydora Panda (http://www.geocities.com/madhunag2002/f ... acory2.jpg) on my turtles tank? I want a fish that eats the food that turtles doesn't eat (letucce, corn,...). I have two redear turtles, two years old. Do you have any experience with that? They will eat the corydora? Any other recomendation?

Thanks! I'm new here.

Turtles will usually eat anything you put in their tanks. Some people have been able to keep some fish in their turtle tanks but usually they get eaten. Corys are slow moving fish and I don't think they would last long. What I did was added several Rosy Red Minnow feeders to my turtle tank with several places in there for them to hide. The turtles tried desparately to catch them but most were too fast. They ate a few, but the rest have survived and now eat the crumbs and mess that the turtles leave behind during feeding time.

Oh and Welcome to the forum! :D

Wow, thats impresive. Like a bloody movie. I'm looking for something more "peaceful" The truth is that I'm looking for comodity, because my tank is very complicated to clean (a lot of stones and very thin sand). And having the bones of the fishes elsewhere is worse than the letucce :)

Thank you anyway, good experience.

Yea the stones and sand will trap waste like crazy. Most people here just keep a bare bottom tank with maybe a few large river stones in there. Make sure none of the stones are small gravel sized (small enough to fit in your turtle's mouth). For some strange reason, many turtles just one day decide they like eating them. A lot of people have posted some really sad threads here about how their happy healthy turtles one day stopped eating. After taking them in to the vet for x-rays, they discovered that their turtle's stomach was packed full of rocks and they were stuck. Sad to say, all those turtles died soon after. :(
