500-110 bucks. Rubbermaids can be about ten bucks-just use something to support them.

A lot money , a filter for 100 gallon tank is almost like getting a filter for fish pond, if you don't have a big budget for this project, just get a filter for 50 gall and 45 gall tank, I think will hold for good time , you may have to work little bit more on cleaning the tank may be every three weeks but is an option if you don't have lot money to spend at this moment, but surelly , you need to move MO from the 10 gall tank, DON'T FEEL BAD OR FRUSSTADED, I'M on the same point right now, i just got a new baby turtle as you can see in my pic , and i need a bigger home for both and NO money Available,:)
take care, do your best and be happy

How big is your turtle? Start with that first. If your turtle is 5 inches long (for example), you would need a minimum of a 50 gallon tank (10 gallons per inch of shell). A bigger tank would already be a HUGE improvement & the water will stay more clean, longer.

You don't necessarily have to have a super-expensive huge filter system initially if you upgrade your tank. The canister filters are great (ideal) but I use a Fluval 4 underwater filter which cost me about $30 + about $30 for a large container of charcoal. When I upgraded my turtle's tank (she is in a 90gallon tank now) I didn't have $300 to get a canister filter so that's why I got the fluval 4. It's super quiet since it is underwater & works well. I just have to change the water more often. I plan to eventually get a canister filter when I have the money, but for now, my fluval 4 is working out just fine & the water is very clean/clear.

LASTLY: if you want to keep your turtle's tank more clean, feed him/her in a separate laundry pan of water outside the tank (then throw out the water after the turtle is done eating). Pellets/food in the tank is a real mess, especially if you have a teeny tiny tank & a large turtle. The pellets mess up the water really quick & make it stink, just like you complained about.

Just a coupla tips from me to you.....!
