What is the purpose of turtles flashing they shlongs? Murdock did it again. Does this mean he wants to mate?

In my experience they do it most when they've first matured. It's probably fluctuating hormones. After awhile it happens less and less.

There are a number of reasons as why they would do it. As long as it can easily go back in and is not injured in anyway, it's OK.

One of the first turtle books I read actually had instructions on how to lube up your turtle if he gets stuck like that. I'm sure it's serious but I'm immature so I had to laugh.
