yeah my turtle has white spots i dont know what they are... it has some green on its shll also like alge or something, check out the picture

THeLoCust, the cleanser that David mentioned is very good - Hibiclense. It will help with both fungus and bacteria. Those white spots do look rather alarming. You should tend to them right away. With a soap like Hibiclense, so sure and rinse it off very thoroughly as it will be irritating if left on.

A common cause of shell problems is not basking enough. The shell needs to dry off completely at frequently intervals - both top and bottom. Is your turtle basking regularly?

Fortunately I can't really tell what the heck it's supposed to be, but it looks like it could be pretty messed up so i just don't look too closely at it. But yea, if it is as messed up as I think it is, for everybody else's sake, please change it. :? There are small kids that come on these forums sometimes as well as others who don't like to dwell on the grotesque or obscene.

i think thats a fungus growth or something. my turtles also have something that looks like it. go to the "habitat- indoors" forum and go see the "2 4inch turtles" topic. i have a pic of my Terr and Tull
