My baby RES looks like he has blue eyes. Is this normal or could there be somthing wrong? His eyes are not swollen and he seems to be healthy. I have just never heard of this, maybe I am seeing things :? ? Thanks for any help!

Yes I will try to get one on ASAP. He is still shy so he sticks his head in his shell when I take him out of the tank for a good pic

It would be neat to see those eyes. Maybe he's a hybrid or a semi-albino RES. Are his shell and skin rather pale?

My Sheba typically has green eyes with a bit of sparkle in them, but under some lights, her eyes look blue/turquoise.

All the pictures I ve seen made me think it was normal. Some have green and some have blue . I thought that all turtles had dull eyes but I now know thats not true :) . And also I think the lights probably have something to do with it because when I take her out of the light they dont look as blue. Here is a pic...

It's normal. My RESs eyes look green, sometimes blue. I used to think they had dull eyes too before I had any, but I absolutely love their eyes.

my turtle has 1 blue eye and one green eye and he has been seen by the vet and their was nothing ever mentioned about it so i would say he is just fine unless their are other symptoms.
