Oh. If he isn't doing anything else weird (showing other symptoms) maybe you could lower it to 76 to see if he perks up?

Does he swim at all?
Does he still eat?
Does he go around at the bottom and look for food?

it seems like he never gets hungry even when i give it to him, and leave it there for an hour, he doesnt swim alot, but when he does its only to get to a place where he stays in the same posistion for like 30 minuutes, thats about the only swimming he doesno explorartion or anything, some placeses of the tank he hasnt even been too in the 2 weeks ive had him, he doenst swim to the bottom.

Hmm something does sound wrong...

Maybe he has internal parasites. See if you can get a sample of his poop go to the vet and give him a check up and give the vet the fecal sample for him to see if there are any parasites

76 is a little too cool for a hatchling that maybe sick IMO, i think keeping the water temp at 80 for a little while was a good idea..If you wish to up the temp, then do so, but slowly, dont turn it up all the way to 80 right away since you already dropped it down quite a lot, instead turn it up to 77 - 78, then the next day 79 - 80.

Something doesnt right. Take it to a vet.

Keep the temperature up to 78-80. How long have you had the turtle? It could be adjustment stress or the early signs of illness.

I'm really confused. I thought your turtle died, and you were looking for another one. Why are you asking about getting more turtles when you already have one who may be sick?

Haha, ya that was a mix-up
i was at my friends house and my mom called me and shes like the turtle died( she thoguht it died becuase he was sleeping all the time and in the corner)
i was so sad, until i got home and touched him and moved him a little and he woke up, my moms like... oh....
i was so mad

well it kind of looks like he got a little better, he stills sleeps more than normal, but not like he used to, when he slept all day.

After reading over this again I really do think there's something wrong with your turtle, if not RI then something else. If I were you I'd definitely consider a visit to the vet.

I mean, it could still be adjustment, but even then it doesn't sound right.

EDIT: And after seeing that last pic you posted...it'd be vet time for me.

You really need to get something in there for him to bask/rest on. I think exhaustion may be part of the problem. Even if your basking ramp hasn't come in you need to improvise something.

i made a little hill of river rocks and then put a cave on top of it he rests on there but it isnt above the water, if he sits there the top of this shell sticks out of the water, and he can easily lift his to get air

The basking spot needs to be warm and lighted, and fully above water. Otherwise, I don't think it's effective.

You need a place for him to dry off and warm up under basking lamps. Therefore it needs to be above water.
