wow, i actually just bought a pleco the other day... i don't feel as much for fish dieing as you do, but I hope my turtle won't eat him.. its bigger than him too.

I've had my pleco for about six months and Mikey has never touched him. It's pretty hit or miss with turtles. Mikey prefers to eat uneatable objects and the pleco has tons of room to hide.

And held it up to see and he bit it right out of my hand

Even thoghu sometimes a turtle doeusnt seem to be interesting in a fish

i have had a pleco for a couple of 3 or 4 months and its mean to the turtles or it seems like it to them because it keeps trying to get the algae off there shells and the turtles just keep trying to run away

oh ya, pleco's are a favorite of Spike's. He's eaten the small ones and the big ones. I never get attached to the fish I put in the tank. And I only put fish in the tank that have some nutritional value for the turts.

about the fish, i was more upset that my turts did that, u know
like you wouldn't wanna see your children beating up on kids
in the playground. Now im not really sure if i should get a
bigger pleco....Thanks all for the funny stories and words of advice,

Well to them it is the right thing to do. It's food, and there is no exception, no matter how cute/loveable the prey is (for crying out loud turtles sometimes eat each other). If you dont want yet another pleco getting eaten..then dont get another one, because the same thing will happen.

hehe, ya....it's just messier when they eat the bigger ones. They left the head floating around.
