Is this just to deep clean or for the water flea riddance?

Doesn't quite sound like Daphnia (I'm a zoology major and let me tell you, I've done my fair share of looking at Daphnia under a microscope!)

Chances are that if it's sticking to the bottom of the tank and only has the one shell...it's a type of gastropod.
Science rules.

You're actually really to get them, if they really are daphnia. I've been trying to breed the little things in a planted tank since they are a very good food for fish fry and amphibians.

If it's daphnia there's no harm in having it. If you don't like the idea of little bugs in Tobi's tank, some fish would eat all of it in a couple of days.

Could you have a picture of whatever is in your tank? You said it was stuck to your glass, but daphnia is a thing that swims, not sticks to glass.

Ok since not Daphnia..some kind of water flea? And yes, they are only sticking to the sides of the tank and sort of flattening out. (Stick like glue)
I cleaned the tank yesterday and got all off the sides and bottom that I could see and today we have a few back on the bottom and the sides..?! So I dont really understand.

I dont have a picture I thought that they would be too small to see but I could sure try to get one.

I just hope whatever these are that they are NOT harmful.
