Tenodera- yes they do when they are "flattened" to the bottom or side. The middles look a bit darker though. But YES! Is that snails?

Is there a jelly-like covering over them? The tiny dots in the left one in Tenodera's picture look like snail eggs. They have to get to a certain size before you can see the antennas on them.

Marisa- There is a clear covering over them and it is hard. You see it more and it looks jellyish when they are smooshed to the side or bottom of the tank.

Well, good luck getting rid of them. Perhaps you can hold on to a few of these in a container and see if they do grow into snails. Or into something.

Thanks ya'll!

I talked to the vet today and she told me that they were indeed snails. And not to worry....too hard to get rid of and that they can come from ANY source.

Soooo..... guess Tobi has new tank mates~! haha
