There are no RES snapper turtles. RES can be agressive, but it does depend on the turtle. Snappers, I do believe have an innately mean disposition, although if reared from a hatchling in captivity, this can be lessened to some extent.

I've currently got two hatchling common snappers, the size of 50-cent pieces. The other day I was feeding them and got my finger too close to one of their mouths. The turtle latched on to the tip as I lifted my hand and stayed on until my hand was just about out of the tank. He was too small to cause pain, but I could just feel how powerful s/he is going to be one day, if s/he makes it to adulthood.

I wont turn this into a football thread Joey, but I will say this. I live in Panther country - Charlotte NC, but when healthy the NY Football Giants are the best team in the NFL.

I can only imagine the bite of a snapper, because this little slider already hooked onto my finger more than once. LOL, its all good though because hes just awesome

Joe-Smo -- I am originally from SC and I know how you may want some snow. I have been stuck in my house since Thursday night with plenty of snow and it is snowing now and it is expected to be around 4 to 5 degrees tonight. The snow around my house is only about a foot deep but there ice on the bottom and ice on the top. I can assure you that you will get tired of shoveling, salting, slipping down the road and sidewalk real fast. It is nice to look at times but that is all. m.
