Neither of my turtles like balls much. Goblin loves mirrors, he cant look away from his reflection for very long. Im wondering if it would be safe for me to attach the mirror to his aquarium on the inside.

Wow, mirrors eh? That's interesting. I wonder if turtles are capable of being self aware... (there are ways to test for this too)

I think as long as the mirror is anchored and doesn't have anything that could get in the water, it should be safe. Turtles do like to charge at stuff, my female does occasionally, but only to the other turtle we have. They are no pushovers.

i got one of those plastic golf balls for my turtle, put his food inside it and he loves pushing it around and pulling the food out. good to watch aswell.

Someone was playing with the marble I gave them yesterday, might've been Typhoon, cause all the fake hairgrass plants were thrown around again.

Oh yeah, turtles like to throw stuff, by the way. My co-worker had a turtle for a class pet that she was afraid of, because it would pick up this piece of driftwood and throw it around the tank like crazy. It wasn't socialized well, either. It'd hiss at the teachers and kids all the time, and poor Linda was so worried about being bitten that she couldn't clean the terrarium. I'm not sure if it was a RES or another species. Turtles don't make good classroom pets in preschools, not because of the salmonella thing, but because of the basking lights. Think about it, our preschool has a two hour naptime, and that light is going to keep the kids awake. If you turn it off, then the turtle loses two hours of UV rays. Nobody wins.

I'm at a quandry. My turtle, Typhoon, actually gets exercise from throwing the fake hairgrass all over the place, and it seems to keep her busy, which she's needed for a long time. Problem is, I think she does that because she doesn't like the hairgrass. Cause the other turtle, Hurricane, seems to be a little perturbed by it too, but doesn't throw it around. He just acts annoyed, avoids it, or occasionally kicks it. It gives them something to do, but, should I remove it since they don't care for it? They've had over a week to adjust to it, and they love everything else except for the hairgrass. (I can save it for the green tree frog set up I want, and I know there is tons of trial and error with turtles, but still, I feel so unappreciated *sniffle*)

My turtle toys is a plastic-floating-fish.. My turtles enjoy to swim and catch those fish and bite the fish.. haha.. then once a month I will throw a real feeder fish for them.

i tried rubiks cube. at the color they see and they tried to bite it.
also i tried same like azfar but i'm turtle not fish. also i tried laser, they chased it HAHA.

Unlike other reptiles, turtles are so much more awesome cause you can play with them. Justifies their popularity greatly.
