That is all in need: photos of turtle poop! HA - Jo-walk-31, Turtles are like humans, in that, their poop depends on what they have been eating and they poop really fast. Also it may eat his own or any other varmint you have in the tank may eat it. -- Good evening all! m.

Mine actually stains the glass of the tank.

Anyone have this happen? Maybe it's time for a new filter. I cleaned it out the other day but after a few days the whole bottom of the tank is brown with stains. Gotta rub it out again.

Yeah, I have some of that brown algae stuff on in one place on the glass. I have regular algae too and that is green but I'm not sure what the brown stuff is. Can anyone shed some light on the matter?

I had rock, more like marbles, bedding but they got coated in this brown crap so i took them out. Now it's just a bare bottom. It's almost fully covered in brown. Is it really algae? There's chemicals that I could put in to reduce the algae right?

If there's not much lighting where the brown stuff is, it's likely diatoms, which is a form of algae. Increasing the ambient lighting in the tank often helps.

Huahahaha this is a weird conversation and yet I gotta admit, it's hilarious....I can't stop laughing reading everyone's replies.

Azfar's collection of poop's picture reminds me a lot of a manga character called ShinChan ;)

I always net Kame's poop, she stopped eating it since she was 1 year old...she would let it lie on the floor waiting for me to net it. But I never net Kroten's poop, the second she lets it out she'll eat it...leaving me no chance to net it. She even eat her poop when she is outside her tank (I let my turtles once a day...you know to let them walk around the house), when that happens I have to put her back into her tank.

I think I have that brown algae problem too...is it dangerous for the turtles?

I think, it's more likely they ate their poop
