Nope, 100% fine with basking and everything before the change to the larger tank with increased water so I'd say most of it (not basking as much, more time spent in the water / bottom of tank) is an adjustment phase because of one, the larger tank and two, because of the increased water volume as well as three, the new ATBA vs the old floating dock. The eye shut thing I'm justr chalking up to water irritation from the high nitrate levels since in the old tank with little to no nitrates he acted fine eye wise.
The only problem with the new ATBA is that half the tank (below the ATBA) is dark and if I try to light it up from the side Niko will sometimes go sit underwater next to the light.
Also, I just did new water tests today after the 40 - 50% water change and a dose of biomax and these are my readings which are pretty sweet.
Ammonia 0
PH 7.6
Nitrite 0.5
Nitrate 0
Also, soon I'm going to phase out chemical testing for PH and get one of those digital PH meters. Only problem I should ever have with that is calibrating it but once set I'll always have accurate constant readings within a +/- 0.01 range or so the package I looked at says.
