Btw you turtles shell looks normal? Ive seen many wild turtles whose shells are a bit different when adult. I think its normal.

Shedding is all you need. That male had almost his entire shell covered in shell rot. First year his shell was grey for along time with no color. After every shed the shell holes got smaller until he looks like today and shell has good coloring. Wish i had pics of him during that time but i did not own a camera.
