I noticed that area too epsecially in the pic where they are in the tupperware bowl..

Is it part of the pic or not? If not, is that area soft at all? When you got the turtle did s/he have it?

It's the picture that makes LG's head look weird. He's 'proportionate'. And he eats plenty and basks most of the day.

He had that dark area on his shell since I got them and it hasn't changed in any way, bigger or smaller, no dif colors, etc. (just like him!)
