Yea, but 6am to 10pm is like 16 hours. Seems awful long if you're trying to mimic normal daylight. :)

My lights go on when the sun rises and sets, i check it daily ;)

well, unlike some lucky *&^*&%$s, i have to go to school and get lots of hmwk. i stay up till 10 doin it and the turts stay up with me. they dont go to sleep unless im already out cold. They are very procective of THEIR pet :D

My turtles' lights were on about 10 hours a day during the shortest winter months. Now they're almost up to 12 hours a day. For the longest summer months they will be increased a bit more.

You can buy special aquarium controllers that adjust the lights according to the sunrise/sunset of any given latitude/longitude of anywhere on the earth. It will even control a separate "moon" bulb to simulate the phases of the moon in that same location. :D Very useful when trying to get corals to spawn.

Well, i dont even have a job so i could never afford that anytime soon. i guess that my turtes will stay up untill i pass out. They are my guardian angels in the form of Turtles! :D
