I haven't measured him since I got him but he is tiny, let me go check, I'll edit in his size.

He is not quite 2" I have had him since April 29th. And I didn't realize how much he has grown until I just measuered him. Here he is on the first day.

That is just a myth. The mythbusters tested that a while ago, and the gold fish remembered to swim though color rings, like a maze, to get to there food everyday.

green dot for the mythbusters reference!!!! :) :)

it's interesting how memory works. we as humans have a short term memory span of an average of about 30 seconds, after which it's either discarded (forgotten) or committed to long term memory {ref: psych 101}. people with short term memory loss (or stml) are unable to ''transfer" that memory to long term which is why they can't retain new information. a goldfish may have a short term memory of 3 seconds, but their overall memory is more than that.

My turts never swim into the sides they seem to know that they can't get out that way. They do however beg like crazy when I get near the tank and look oh so sad when I don't give them anything.
