It must be heatbreaking for people who have to give up their turtle to a stranger. I don't think I could do it.

It's good that BD is doing well. I bet it must be really tough for you, but he will be better off there. It would have been way worse if he'd been hurt.

That was my main concern. I'm not sure that Gomie was trying to bite him, or was just trying to chase him away, but it was pretty violent. Plus who knows how long this was going on? When I walk in the room, they usually go into begging mode, but it made me wonder how they behave toward each other when I'm not around.....
