This morning I put the girls lettuce in as normal. I have 2 veggie clips and I put one on each. Normally they'll both start eating off the first one, and then after a couple bites Crush sees I've gone over to the other clip and she'll follow me over there.
Well, today before I could put the second piece in, Crush went over to take her first bite on the first piece of lettuce and accidentally got Squirt's foot......whole foot. It was competely accidental. Squirt had stuck her front feet around to hold on to the lettuce while she was eating, which she always does, but this time she stuck her foot right in Crush's path as she was diving in for the chomp. Her whole foot was in Crush's mouth.
I don't think Crush realized what was going on. She didn't let go right away, and Squirt was frantically batting her in the face with her other front foot for about 10 seconds as they chaotically scrambled across the tank, tangled together. Finally Crush let go and looked utterly confused and freaked out. "What a fiesty piece of lettuce".
I examined Squirts foot thoroughly as well as Crush's head and feet. No damage appears to be done at all. It was just very scary to watch. Afterwards they both just went back to munchin on the lettuce as normal.
Has anyone ever had this happen before?
