i searched vacation and the other entries answer most my questions..except one. i won't have any one to feed him. i'll only be gone friday-sunday. would it be okay to just buy feeder guppies and let him eat those while i'm gone?

Do you have your lamp on a timer? If so, I'd throw in some guppies and some anacharis and he'll be fine. I'd worry about the filter or heater malfunctioning but that's just the type of person I am.

i have the anachris.. it's been in there for 2 weeks and he hasnt touched it. buying the timer today and it's too hot in los angeles for a heater.. thanks! going to by the guppies now :D

have a nice trip ! they will be ok i was worried when i went away but i was lucky to have some one to give them a few pellets a day. 2 days would be fine with no food i was told .i was gone for 7 days couldnt let them go that long . 2 days i wouldnt worry. good luckand have fun on your trip

If you are only going to be gone for the weekend then you'll be fine. Just make sure and feed him before you leave on Friday and when you get home on Sunday. That way, he only goes one day without food. He'll be fine.

Turtles are cold-blooded animals and can go a lot longer without food than mammals can if absolutely necessary. :)
