Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

So it seems like my two little guys have had a falling out  . I cant leave them alone for five minutes without the larger one GIR trying to bite little Zim. So I guess I'll have to seperate them. My question is should I just dry dock one overnite or put him in a rubbermaid tub, but the water will get cold because I dont have an extra heater. And I dont want to risk keeping them together overnite. What Shoud I do?? :?

You can dry dock the aggressor for the night, Gir. He'll be fine overnight, so long as you keep him/her warm.

More likely though the big one will kill the little one. I wouldn't do it.

Good luck with the divider. TXGUY, I deleted your post because that is not sound advice.

Besides several well planned escape attempts from GIR, his jail time went pretty smoothly. So this morning I tried one more attempt at a reconciliation between GIR and Zim, but there’s no hope for that. So I went to Petco and bought a divider and a new turtle dock (which is a really ugly gray color for some reason). Now they can just visit through a piece of $15 plastic.

Good for you! One thing about turtles is that once they make up their minds they never seem to change. If your guys have started fighting they probably always will.

WHAT WAS WRONG WITH MY MESSAGE ???
I thought we're free to share our experiences , i never said that will work for everybody, on most of my messages I always write, "this is my experience and very personal opinion "

Sorry, even though it may work in your situation, it is generally unacceptable to do that. I really do appreciate you stating that it was your personal experience but people should not try it.
