hi pplz,

just a question when i let my res walk around at the back of my garden (Well he/she sits on the ground) the shell starts become really dry looking and kinda whitish im just wondering if that is normal or not. When i touch feels like it could be easily broken off but when or after it goes out of the water doesnt feel that way. Hope that makes sense -_-

It may just be that your turtle is shedding scutes. If he is wandering around outside, his shell dries completely, and you see the scutes he will be shedding. It could also be mineral deposits from hard water. If you are able, post a picture of the shell both wet and dry, and everyone will be able to help more.
