Here are pictures of my baby Maya's shell!
I have no idea what the previous owner did to her!
does this look like soft shell or shell rot ?!

the vet told me until she can look at her shell next week to keep her water at 82. and feed her small fish and calcium rich foods

I'm not going to second-guess your vet, but 82F sounds too warm to me for an adult turtle (unless she's ill). Have you cleaned the shell at all? I see some pitting, could be some shell rot there. Ask your vet about getting some Nolvasan to clean the shell.

That looks like some serious shell deterioration to me, probably from an untreated infection and just overall poor conditions.
The increased temperature will increase her metabolism and help boost her immune system. A great source of calcium is cuttlebone, and rosy red minnows are the healthiest feeder fish to buy. Keep feeding her a balanced diet along with the fish.
It sounds like you've got a good herp vet, Maya is so lucky to have found you!

Ask your vet for some Tricide solution. It kills any and all bacteria and helps things heal really fast. I used it on Nyx's shell when I first got her and her shell was a mess. After a week of Tricide and antibiotic ointment her shell was cleared up.
