General Care Discussion :: Are my turtles bored or do they just love me?

Even on days I've fed my turtles, when ever I walk into the room, they go crazy. Could I possibly be not feeding them enough? or could they just be bored? If so, what kind of things can I get them?

You can get them some river rocks to push around, turtles like to rearrange them.

Yes for the first few months i had my turtles anytime myself or anyone else walked into the room they went mad for attention. I also didn't need to set an alarm, every morning like clockwork I was woken up to the sound for the water plooping because they were swimming so hard!

LoL. Meg, my turtles love their river rocks like crazy. When I'm on the computer I always hear them rearrange them. Also I have a rock thingy on their basking area which from time to time ends up in the water on the other side of the tank. One time they ripped off their basking area, which they broke. (it's one of those suction cups one, you can buy at petco or petsmart).

No-card -- your turtle has associated you with food. -- I would descirbe mine as ''begger pigs'' -- they never get enough and will beg every time I come by, or near, the tank. you have to be careful not to cave into the begging or you will feed them too much.

my friends turtle that i will soon be taking, has a marble in her tank she loves to play with. she looks like shes playing soccer lol
