So cute. So I've been writing about my new fluval canister for a while. It was cloudy, I was worried... too weird: it TOTALLY cleared OVERNIGHT. It's like glass now! Great. Here's the cute part. Lily likes to rest on plants directly in front and slightly below the output hose. I think it must feel like a massage on her shell!!

I think it was. My concern was that I couldn't tell for SURE, since the new filter was so much quieter than my old one...made me suspicious!! ")

kcool --- Another thing to consider is when you change out or clean your filter you put in new carbon and it will filter out some of your chemicals and clean the water very quick. If it cleared up that quickly, be on the look out for another up surge of cloudiness. Man my rule the world, but bacteria run it. b.

Okay, will do for sure... I think it's been a bit over a week that it's been in there, so it wasn't terribly quickly. Oh who knows. I can't keep track of anything anymore.

If it was a week then it was probably just "new tank syndrome." My water actually doesn't cloud anymore when i refill the tank... pretty weird but I am fine with it :)

Bumby - If you use the same biological media (ie rings, stars, etc) between water changes, and you don't rinse them with tap water, then the water is less likely to cloud up because the good bacteria is already established. Mine is the same, and very rarely clouds up after a full water change :)

Kiki - My Ralph does something similar. I've seen him go up to the output and sort of hang off it, like he's massaging his undershell
And when Frankie was first in a smaller tank with a waterfall filter, she'd sleep under the waterfall and the bubbles would run up her back.

Lucky turts! It's so expensive for US to get a massage!
