I was given a baby red-eared slider a maintenance crew member found and it is about 1.5 inches long. What should I feed it? or would it be best to let it go? It is still cold outside (winter is not completely over yet.)

No, don't let it go. It will die, and if it doesn't you may be introducing an invasive species/parasites/disease into the enviroment. Read up on the care sections on www.redearslider.com, and if you don't feel that you are able to care for it properly the best thing would be to find a good home for it.

Once you've done some reading as octpusgirl8 suggested, then you'll probably have some specific questions. Come back here and ask away!
