If they are sheding they are growing. The new ones are pushing off the old ones which is larger. It is like watching a pot of water boil -- It seem like it takes forever. Just stick to the rules of the road with filtration, lighting and temp and they will do fine.

How long have you owned the turtles? Are you referring to skin or scutes (or both)?

Take-One, you posted about your turtle shedding skin a few days ago. Is this what you're still referring to? If so, there are responses to this in your previous post.

I'm not sure what your question is....are you concerned about them not growing? Do you think a week of shedding (skin?) is too long?

What's the temp of the basking area and the temp of the water?

Did you recently change their environment, add water that wasn't conditioned, add water that was over-conditioned? I don't think I'd worry, my turtle has been shedding off and on for 2 months. Make sure there isn't any fungus or infection on their skin, but if it's just skin, it can take awhile to get it all off. The more they bask, the better.

Temps sound OK. It's likely whatever was changed in their habitat. Are both basking now?

A week isn't all that long to be shedding. Is it less noticeable now? Is the new skin healthy looking?
