General Care Discussion :: Suggestion(Image gallery)

I'm sure it has been suggested before. It would be nice to have image gallery with the option of allowing users to have their own folder(limited space, pics). Most of my time is spent browsing trough the photo forum. Viewing people's RES and taking on ideas. Would be nice

I would not mind donating some money for bandwidth to get it started

There's a gallery attached to the main site if that's what you mean:

But most people post their pics in the photo gallery section of the forum:

I'm a bit reluctant to open the site to image gallery hosting (like Coppermine) because it takes a lot of server resources (this is already on a shared server) and it would require another level of moderation.

The software I'm planning to migrate this forum to - Simple Machines - does incorporate built-in image hosting but might not be enabled because it might slow down the site considerably.

That said, if a straightforward solution becomes available, we will consider it.
