Most people here on the forum seem to have had the best luck with taking the gravid turtle out for walks on a warm sunny day in an area with a variety of suitable nesting spots. A park would work if you don't have a yard, but avoid areas that are sprayed with pesticides/fertilizers. If you want to make a nesting box, a big tupperware storage box filled with clean dirt (no fertilized potting soil) and sand may work.
