Normal Spaz sleeps in the basking area, but to day when I got up he was under the heater at the bottom of the tank. I was sacred so I picked him up and he began to move normally . Is it normal for them to sleep like that?

They sleep wherever they feel comfortable whether it be underwater, ontop of the water or compltely out of the water. Nyx likes to sleep compltely out of the water on her dock, Gimli likes to sleep under the water with just his little nose above the water and Marvolo likes to sleep ontop of the water on the fake plant.

Mine mostly sleeps on the underwater ledge I built for her. Lately she has been sleeping alot on the ramp half in half out of the water. Occasionally she will sleep all the way up in the basking area.

Sisqo either sleeps on the bottom of the tank, where there's no plants no rocks, no cover at all, or ontop of a plant that is underwater.

Orlando (the new guy) sleeps either squished under teh return of water on the filter with his nose barelyout of the water, or half in hhalf out of the water on his ramp.

Mine sleeps on the bottom too. He has an underwater resting area that he slept on for a while, but he went back to the bottom. The first time I saw him asleep on the bottom I freaked out a little bit too.

hah my turtles have a reptile hammock in the corner of their tank.
they like to sleep on top of that together. it's cute.
sometimes i'll catch them sleeping on their basking dock.

Usually wedged between the side of the tank and the filter intake, squeezed in there with his nose out of the water. I'm trying to replicate the setup (since eventually he'll get too big and I don't want him knocking the intake piece off), but anything with suction cups lasts only a few days between he's moved it.

Otherwise, on one of the underwater soap dish ledges. I highly recommend getting them for your turtle.

Periodically, I catch him asleep on the floor of the tank, but not the most often, maybe 10% of the time or less.

Torti sleeps mostly in the darkest corner of her tank, but occasionally i catch her asleep on her suction cup soap dish sleeping dock.

great idea for the reptile hammock, i may have to try that! how does it hold up underwater?

I've had one in my tank for a few months now and it's good as new, so far. It gets a little algae on it now and then but it comes off easily.
