i just upgraded froma 20gal tank to a 46 gal tank ive got two turtle docks in there for him to rest on but seems like all he does is swim thats ok right he basks when the light is on but he used to rest on top of his plants in the 20 gal tank now hes always on the go

Sounds like he is just enjoying the new swimming room!

When I upgraded I did add a platform so he would have a place to rest in the water when he didn't want to swim, but didn't want to bask...

It's just one of those corner "turtle landing pad" things from Petsmart and a bug flaoting plant, by Sylar seems to love it. I have also heard of people using soap dishes w/ suction cups from walmart!

As long as he used to bask in the old tank, then he eventually will bask in the new tank once he gets used to it. Nothing to worry about.
