Whats up all,
I just got two RES on sat a male named Pee-wee he is a chunk approx 7-8in frm head to tail 4-5 in wide and my girl shellie approx half his size. Now at first i thought he never basked but he adjusted so quick and does not mind me next to him while he basks i was amazed, but shellie is still timid when she sees me and i have not noteced her bask yet. i have a large floating basking ramp but iam upgrading to the large acrylic basking ramp set up i hear rave reviews on it. Could my female be scared and not adjusted to her enviroment or could is be that there is not enough space because pee-wee is chunky ?

hey bulldog thank for the advise and iam keeping a close eye on them both as of right now they seem fine she never really follows him and same with him. he usually basking and she is swimming and at time she get on top of him or lie near each other under water. the one thing is that he is a fast eater faster than her and so i have to watch them and make sure she get her share because she is shy and hides when i feed but the male knows it feeding time. i may have to seperate when feeding also i was given the tank its one of the caddy corner ones approx 2 feet deep aprox over75 gallons planning on larger tank when i purchase my house. gonna wait and see.
