General Care Discussion :: Hurley drowns his greens :P

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Wed Jul 30, 2008 4:03 pm   Hurley drowns his greens :P

Does anyone else' turts like to play with their food? When Hurley gets his greens he likes to take big pieces and pull them to the bottom of the tank and hold the leaf down there while eating it.

He is too funny. He really gets into his foods.

Just wanted to share and see if Hurley is weird or not. :)

Spike likes to swim around a bit with food in his mouth before he finds a place to rest and eat it, usually with a leg on a neaby plant (of the plastic variety). I have only seen him stand on the bottom once to eat. Its funny watching him try to eat a bite that he just chomped on while also trying to chase the remaining piece as it starts to float away....lol.

Frankie takes her cuttlebone to the bottom of the tank, although I think that's more because she thinks I'm going to steal it

I used to back in high school (southern cali) but once I moved away from home and got away from the loser friends (to the east coast)...stopped doin it. No one near me did it so it is now a distant memory. I had fun while it lasted though :)

Fave's were Narnia and Electric Carnival.

haha awesome! horray for techno and turtles haha.

i named my fish "raven" and the other one "trance" it was perfect because raven was a raven color, and trance never really moved, just floated there with a trance on his face hahah.

but then of course i added my turtle to the bunch, and raven and trance were promptly eaten. haha aw
