General Care Discussion :: Turtle in Southern California looking for new home

About a year ago I rescued a red eared slider from a tiny plastic tank where it was hardly active and very small. I took it upon myself to get it back in good health and it has grown tremendously and is now very active. I believe the turtle is between 1.5 - 3 years old (I am not sure).

The turtle is about 3.5” and I am not sure if it is a male or female. I will post some photos when I get home.

The problem is I am a 4th year college student and my time outside of school and work is becoming very limited. I am finding it very difficult to get time for the turtle and I live in a small apartment and will need to upgrade to a bigger tank soon which I will not be able to. I am looking for someone to adopt him/her and am looking for someone with previous experience. I will be very sad to see the turtle but at the same time it is not fair for me to put the turtle in the same situation in which I rescued him/her from.

I live in Riverside, and travel to Los Angeles frequently so I would be more than pleased to bring the turtle to you if you are close by. Please feel free to contact me at kestrelprodigal@gmail.com
