General Care Discussion :: Umm.. A weird story..

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Tue Aug 19, 2008 10:43 pm   Umm.. A weird story..

Okay a few months ago i went over to my friends house during school to see his turtle, and i am not sure how i am suppose to put this where i don't get in trouble but he had a substance and we kinda smoked it with the turtle, He said he did it all the time and it was okay, so just wanted to share n see if yall thought it was okay or it harmed the turtle, (BTW: I didn't know that turtles had lungs then so do not flame me plz.)

well i wont turn you in, i do not think doing what you did is good for any pet(s). what we do to ourselves is our own doing, what we do to our pets and others is our action, good or bad. i would expect to get alot of flack from others here. i may not be the most knowledgable person in the world, but i would think that most anything that breathes would have lungs.

Well my cat makes his own decisions on that matter, i am not trying to make this a highly debated topic i just want some opinions if this would harm him, It is natural n stuff..

you can toke up all you want man, thats your personal choice but forcing an animal to do it is just wrong. i know it was your friends idea but step up and tell him its wrong. and for future refrence, if it breathes and its not a fish, it has lungs

:[ My friend can make his own decisions, i was telling him it might die, he has his in horrible conditions also, maybe that's what the turtle needed, because hes heading for death how hes being kept. Ive offered to take his in even though i don't have room but he said its alright. Ill try again when school starts maybe he doesn't like his turtle NE more..

So I guess you're saying that you and your friend forced a turtle to smoke a "substance" and thought it was cool? I'm guessing you had already smoked some of the "substance" before you forced it on the turtle somehow, because surely you aren't that much of an idiot to do that being physicaly a mentally normal.

Thanks chris, I've kinda noticed that. He also had reasons for doing it, His little guy never ate, and after that he eats fine "got his appetite" His turtle is under horrible conditions so anything to get him to eat is a good idea.

Well, i think the issue at hand is that the turt. is not well cared for so maybe you can get your friend to give it to you or talk him into caring for it better. obviously, it needs different surroundings.
