General Care Discussion :: Fluttering????

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

I got a approx. 6" RES that has been acting strange lately. I believe he is a male due to his large front claws. I've seen some people mention fluttering, but it seems like this only happens when another turtle is in the same tank.

I got a new rock in his aquarium and he holds onto it with his tail while the rest of his body is vertial. He moves his tail his tail rapidly across it. I haven't noticed you know what sticking out? I don't know if he is just scratching his tail or trying to get some tail???? :D

Thanks
