General Care Discussion :: turtle push-ups

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Tue Dec 02, 2008 1:54 am   turtle push-ups

I looked all over to see if anything like this had been posted already and had no such luck.

I noticed Henry doing what looked to be push-ups on his turtle dock today. I have looked around at various sites to see what this might mean but found nothing.

My fiance said that Henry watched him do push-ups so he was doing them now, but lol I doubt that is the case.

Any ideas?

I think he might have been backing up but it looked really funny. There was a TV show on for a while called "Rob & Black" about a pro skateboarder and his body guard and they got a RES thinking it would be fun to race it...(I didnt like that idea much) but they always caught the turtle doing push ups and mine started doing it last night..
I just thought it was funny.

Maybe he is beefing up for an escape :)

That's exactly what he's doing! Or maybe he was trying to impress you?

My RES has simulated vines in her tank and she does pull ups on them a lot. She likes to hang on them as well.
