General Care Discussion :: Anyone use aquarium siphon?

Does anyone use the typical aquarium siphon vacuuum to clean their tank? I have some debris that seems to be at the bottom (think from my cork bark) that I want to get rid of but not necessarily empty the tank to do.

i just bought one and it worked great in sucking up the junk on the bottom not sure if cork will be to heavy tho

I can't see why it wouldn't siphon up the itsy cork stuff..it seems on those YouTube video the thang sucks up gravel real good..*sigh* another thing to buy..

like a power vacuum? i have the ehiem one that i use to suck out random crap in between water changes and it works pretty good. gets the crap out and keeps the water in.

I used a little battery powered vaccuum cleaner. It's called "Mr Cleaner" and I get it from Drs. Foster and Smith web site. I always get a bunch of extra vaccuum cleaner bags to go with it as I don't like washing and reusing the bags.

I use a Phython on my turtle tank and on my pond. Hook it up to the hose and I can drain and refill.
