You need to find a herp vet or a vet who is a herp specialist... "herp" short for herpetology - the study of reptiles and amphibians. Most vets are great for cats and dogs but don't know a lot about turtles - so be careful. If you go to the "Urgent Care" part of this forum there is a sticky with links to find a herp vet in your area.

Where are you located? Because I know of a very good vet in my state that I typically go to, and I see a lot of different kinds of animals walking in there. A little on the expensive side, just to warn you, but they are very, very flexible, and their staff is very sweet. When I brought one of my cats there, one of the kennel staff just simply adored Jenny, and was actually a little sad to see her go. I was surprised by this because Jenny is a prissy snot-nose drama queen who usually dislikes or hates anyone who isn't me. And I love her for that.
