General Care Discussion :: turt freak out

everytime i take my turtle outside or let him wander in my room and then i put him back in his cage he freaks out and swims really hard at the sides and it seems kind of sad. when i take him out it seems like he likes it alot. so im wodering if i shouldnt do it becasue he is to sad to go in his cage or he is really scared. does anyone elses turtles do this

Mine do the same. Even though they seem to enjoy the outside time, they always have a little freak out when they get back in the tank. It usually lasts a minute or less.

I wouldn't worry too much about this. My turtles do this as well.

It's like when you take a kid home from an amusement park... they throw a fit 'cause they were having such a good time.

Don't worry, they can always go back out another time!

Turtles are just never good at handling being moved from point A to point B. They've gotta make a big, dramatic stick about it.
