General Care Discussion :: Just layed 5 eggs!

Taking care of your turtle's overall health.

Post Posted: Sun Jul 12, 2009 10:51 pm   Just layed 5 eggs!

Kingler layed 5 eggs this morning. A clutch of 2 at first, both in the water(even though she has a sandy nesting area) then 2 more in the water and 1 on the log. We threw the first 2 away and the other 3 were eaten by Agamemnon, the fish and even by Kingler herself. Anyway, always glad to know my turts healthy. Anyone elses turtle "in season"?

Yeah, mine just laid half a dozen a few weeks ago. Make sure when you throw the eggs away to break the yolks...don't want baby res in a landfill somewhere.

That's insane! Good for you! But why did you throw the eggs away? I would love to have extra babies running around!
"So, are you obsessed with turtles?"

There's no male in the pond, so the eggs were just....eggs with no empryos.

Kingler has at least to more eggs that I cam feel in her.
