this is gonna sound strange, but can anyone describe what a male turtles genitals look like? i happen to look at my tank today and saw what appeared to be something similar to a large mushroom underneath him, then it slowly retracted back into his tail. needless to say i have no clue what i just saw lol, is this normal?

yeah. thats a male fanning. don't worry about it. it was his...man part. lucky you :D
