on the bottom of my turtles shell there are some light pink areas, what are they??? the beginning of shell rot???????? i have just adopted her pleaseee help :( what kind of medication would the vet give????

Try smelling it. If it smells "funky" then it's fungus and you need to soak your turtle in a special solution that kills fungi.

If you try taking a wet q-tip and rub it gently on the shell, does the pink come off? It might be mineral deposits from the water.

Is your basking dock made of rock that can scratch the shell? That is another reason for the pink colour.
